The Artificial Intelligence program of School of Information and Control was established in 2020. The program currently has 19 faculty members, including 2 professors and 7 associate professors. Among the faculty, 1 has received the provincial-level Teaching Excellence Award, and 1 has been honored with the title of Young Science and Technology Star in Shaanxi Province. Additionally, 2 faculty members have been selected for the Shaanxi Province Association of Science and Technology's Young Talent Support Program. Many faculty members have also received school-level awards such as the Young Teacher Pioneer and My Favorite Teacher. The program has access to 5 on-campus and off-campus practical internship bases. It has also initiated various educational reform projects in the areas of curriculum development, practical teaching, and innovation and entrepreneurship education. These initiatives have laid a solid foundation for the theoretical instruction, practical training, and innovation and entrepreneurship education within the field of artificial intelligence. The Artificial Intelligence program has achieved innovative development by leveraging emerging information technologies to support and enhance the traditional core disciplines of the university. It has explored a novel education model, "Artificial Intelligence + X," and is dedicated to fields such as intelligent transportation, urban perception, and smart living environments. The program aims to cultivate innovative applied technology professionals capable of designing intelligent systems, processing intelligent information, making intelligent decisions, and managing complex engineering problems in these relevant areas.

Artificial intelligence is the core driving force behind the new wave of technological revolution and industrial transformation. It is a crucial lever for enhancing societal productivity and regional competitiveness, and it holds vast prospects for development. Graduates of this program can pursue careers in various aspects, including research and development of new technologies and products in the field of artificial intelligence and related areas, system design, management, and more. They can also continue their education by pursuing master's or doctoral degrees in intelligent science and technology and related interdisciplinary fields.
